Hello there! Something to share today besides the latest promotions...

These projects were all created using new stamps, dies and papers from Kaszazz. The top scrapbook layout is 2 Hour Workshop - Creating Yourself Page and Pockets (created by talented Kaszazz Consultant Cheryl Devlin) you can learn to create at your own Kaszazz Customer Event - just call me to book your date!!!

I did this layout at the May Team Training Day (TTD) and finished it off at home after I printed the photos that my lovely friend Lisa had taken for us. The flowers on the right page were created with the Super Flower punch and the Super Daisy Punch to punch the "notch" at the end of each petal. A great alternative for creating Sakura flowers (on the left page) if you don't have the die &/or a die cutting machine.

I created the following cards with the scrap paper, card and stamped images that were leftover from creating the pages and Make & Take Card (also made at TTD)...

I received my Free New Products Sample Pack (FNPSP) at the TTD - you get one when you achieve active status for each month of the four month block of sales. Anyway, if you want to know more about that, just drop me a line or give me a call!!
In the FNPSP was the Asian Botanicals Card Art stamp which is just gorgeous!! I used it to create these two cards and the candle and box ...

My blog's been chosen!

Hi there!
Tonight I received an email to say my blog has been chosen to be featured on a website called Blog Awards. I'm grateful and excited to know that my blog is being read and visited by some people and maybe this will be a chance to 'spread my blogging wings' and have it more widely read.
I haven't blogged in a while as I have been getting my self back together after losing my Nana at the end of May. I had never really lost anyone close to me before, so I have found it difficult to get back into a routine along with living with PND since October/November last year. I'm getting help and working through coping with life & all of it's challenges with 2 little ones to love and look after. Thankfully I have a very supportive husband, family and friends who help A LOT!! Thanks so much!!!

I've been doing a little bit of craft lately and have a few things to show so please come back tomorrow for pics of some cards I've made.

Hello there, thanks for dropping by!

I want to share with you an album I did for my Nan, who at the age of 94 passed away this last Monday. I actually created the pages and cover for this album for Nan's 90th Birthday which we celebrated with her almost 5 years ago. I wanted to document her family life and my feelings for her as my grandmother. She was truly an incredible woman and I hope you will get a sense of this from the pages you see here...

She now rests peacefully with Our Lord in Heaven. My family and all of her friends will miss her kindness and great sense of humour so much. We always looked forward to having a cuppa and catchup with Nan when we visited Hamilton, my hometown. Her hedgehog was second to none!!

NB: I used a lot of paper and embellishments that I had in my stash that are NOT Kaszazz products for this album.

Our Birds Win!!

Hi again!

Team Training Day time is here again which means exciting new products to see and play with!!

Three times a year, Kaszazz consultants get together at a Training Day at which New Products are released for consultants (and potential consultants) to 'ooh and aah' over before they are released to the general public which will be tomorrow (Monday 16th May)!!

This time we got to create these beautiful Asian inspired cards and pillow box as well as a Page & Pocket Scrapbook Layout (pics to follow when I finish my layout...). Both beautiful projects and lots of fun to put together! Gorgeous stamps!!

Each Team Training Day Kaszazz puts out a challenge competition for all consultants to get creative with our current range and specific product - this time it was any one of our 3 button packs - Funky, Pastel or Earth Tones. I chose the Earth Tones buttons to go with my Castaway Bird cards. There's a Twisted Easel, Spinning Wheel Easel Card (inspired by Cheryl's blog) and a Gate Fold card all with different birds using different techniques to create each card along with the Castaway SB Papers. Can you believe I won 1st Prize for my entry of these cards! I am soooo chuffed and grateful to all those who voted for my creations. Thanks has to go to Cheryl - for the inspiration of the Spinning wheel card! Go and check out her blog and other beautiful creations :o)

The cards and compendium below were created by my great friend and direct upline, the very clever Corinna Agius. They earned Corie 3rd prize - YAY!! Soooo cute!

A Happy & Low-Key Birthday!

Hi there!

It was my birthday on Wednesday this last week so 'Happy Bird-y to Me!' heehee :o)

My great friend, Corie, made this card for me and gave it to me along with a gorgeous leopard print scarf to keep me warm and stylish for winter and a yummy Pink Lady chocolate heart (which I've already eaten- I think I love chocolate a little too much sometimes)!! Thanks Corie! You Rock!!!

I got many other wonderful gifts from my hubby & my girls and my friends - some new runners, a butterfly candle holder, a book about what mummy's like called "Wine Makes Mummy Clever"! -a very funny little book - I read it and was almost in tears from laughing so much by the end of it! Just what I needed to lighten up my day to enjoy dinner at a new Japanese restaurant in Ballarat called Kambei - beautiful Sashimi!!! Just what I'd been hanging out for!!!

Another great friend, Lisa gave me this beautiful butterfly necklace which I wore out for dinner to celebrate! Lisa also made the little purse - I have some VERY talented friends indeed!! - can anyone tell that I love butterflies, do you think? I THINK I've mentioned it before :o) Lol...

Anyhoo, gotta go and finish off a workshop sample I did yesterday at TTD - more about that a bit later. See you in a little while!...

Helloooooo!

Was just playing with some scraps and such during the week and came up with these two cards. I used the Ezy Press for both is some way or other. The rosette on the Thank You card is a piece of Argyle/Stripes SB Paper cut with the Lace Border 2-in-1 cut & emboss die then scored at every scallop dip and pressed onto a circle to make the rosette. I used Emerald card as a base as well as Oatmeal card (leftover bits from the Treasure Chests in this post) I sprayed the oatmeal card with Spun Sugar and Emerald Sprinkle Smooch Spritz to give it a glimmer to match the Soft Pine Satin Ribbon.

I think this card needs a little tweaking so I will add some buttons or pearls I think...?

The next card is inspired by a past Clean & Simple Sketch

I used scraps from my craft table and a die from the Envelope Set and Circle Set to create the circular border. Some Sticky Pearls and a (non Kaszazz) key charm to embellish along with the Sentiment from the Love & Cherish set finish this card off nicely, I think.

Happy Mothers Day!

Hi there all of you wonderful mums to kids and animals!
During the last week or so I have been making Mothers Day cards and presents for my mum & mum in law. I decided to make photo collages to put in frames for both mums as we have recently had family photos taken - more on those at a later stage. Thanks Lisa for doing the photo shoot! I love them all!
Well, moving right along....
The Oatmeal Owl card is for my mum made from scraps I had on my craft table from other projects. The ribbon is the new Antique White Satin Ribbon from the May pre release which is due out on the 16th of May. Can't wait to see what other goodies are new. Check out the pre-release flier under the New Releases tab at the top of my blog for some of the goodies already released and available now! Loving all the new Satin Ribbons!!

This is a little album card featuring some of the family photos we have just had taken by my talented friend Lisa. She also makes t-shirts, clothes, shoes and softie toys for babies and kids. Find her on Facebook under Lisa Ralston Design and check out the gorgeous little girl in the strawberry t-shirt!!! Yeah, I know I'm biased! If I didn't think my own child was beautiful, wouldn't that be wrong?!?

Anyhoo, this album card is kinda like a brag book and a Mother's Day card all-in-one! It's for my hubby's mum to put in her handbag to take away and show her friends and other family pics of us and her grand daughters. Hope she'll like it. What do you think?!?
I used quite a few rubons from various packs for this little number. You know how you only use a few or only a couple for a certain project, then you've got the rest of the pack just lingering in your stash, opened & ready to be used for something else... In fact, the card base - already folded into the mini album - and most of the embellishments used on this were bits and pieces I had in my stash or on my craft table screaming to be used for something special to be used on!!! My mum in law loves pink so it seemed only fitting that they go on a creation for her!

Just a couple more cards to share today - told you I had HEAPS to share!

A Parrot named Bella!!

G'day again!

A quick share this time of my youngest daughter in her parrot costume quickly put together on the morning of a friend's 5th Birthday Pirate Party. I had some craft feathers in the girls craft box which I sewed to the back of a red hoodie for the tail and wings. I cut white ovals from cardstock and punched black circles with the Super Circle Punch then attached them to the hood with 24mm Super Tape. The beak was made with 2 triangles of Graphite SB Essentials cardstock stuck together at the centre, then adhered to the front edge of the hood with the 24mm Super Tape. Sorry, Photos aren't terrific but you get the idea, right?!?

What a cute little Parrot!!! I thought it was very fitting that she was a parrot as she is at the age where she copies everything you say in her own little cute way!

The little treasure chest I created for the loot boxes to give to all the kids after the party. They were filled with gold chocolate coins and other yummy lollies. Bec & I made 19 of these in the week leading up to the party. The lock part was a stamp from the Love & Cherish Stamp Set. The box part was an easy pattern I had altered the size and added a flap to make the lid. I then cut circles with my Ezy Press and a 2" die (which I cut in half) to adhere to the fringed sides of the lid to create the dome of the chest. If you want instructions for this little treasure, please email or call me. The top image is what they looked like - Oatmeal Card swiped with Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk Ink for the wood grain affect. The locks had Tarnished Brass Distress Stickles added to give them a semi aged look (like in the bottom image).

My girls had an awesome time at the Pizza eating Pirate Party! They coloured in their own parrots then played Pin the Parrot on the Pirate, had a Treasure Hunt, made homemade mini Pizzas which they ate for tea then ate ice cream Volcano cake for dessert. What a blast!!

Hi there lovely bloggers!

It's been a week since I last posted and has it ever been an action packed one!!! Never mind that though, I have HEAPS to share! Firstly I wanted to share these Thank You cards and Magnetic Bookmarks with you . The first card I made for the lovely Grace Holzhauser who helped give my blog a facelift...I hope she got her little pressie and card & that she liked it! Let me know if you got it, Grace!
The brown panel was created with the Handbag Bookmarker base die and I used an offcut from a lace border die to layer on top for the sentiment to go on. The sentiment is from the Many Thanks and Sentiments Design Adhesives and Gold Mine Designer Foils. The new Sheer Satin Edges and Soft Pine (for the leaves) ribbon along with the Sticky Pearls and Daisies (4cm) finishes the card off perfectly, don't you think?
I used SB Foundations Blush Vine Paper to layer up and the Vine stamp inked up with Walnut Stain Distress Ink for under the Daisies.

The next card and Bookmark was for Maureen who is a lovely lady from Scotland. I did a card for the Less is More challenge a little while ago and Maureen kindly commented on my card so I visited her blog and found her beauiful card. I asked her where the butterfly came from & she emailed me to say that she could cut some and post them over which she very generously did! I now have have about 20 of these gorgeous butterflies on hand to create my little heart out with!!! They are die cuts from a Marianne Creatables die. Anyway, thanks again Maureen! I'm loving the Many Thanks Design Adhesives atm so I used them 2 ways for the card (with Distress Embossing Powders - Spiced Marmalade and Worn Lipstick) and the Bookmark (with Winter Sky Designer Foils).
The Bookmark is cut with the Just For You Bookmarker Die and is done in 2 layers so it folds at the bottom. Can't remember whose blog I first saw these on but you can search You Tube for Magnetic Bookmarks and get the idea! I was hanging out to get the Ezy Press Bookmarker Dies so I could try this and I have lots more ideas swimming around in my head for these. The perfect Mother's Day gift for those mum's who love to read!

I also did a Bookmark for my wonderful friend Bec, who is simply AWESOME!!! She loves to read & she loves Butterflies so this bookmark - (cut with the Hat/Bag/Shoes Bookmarker base die) embossed with the Dots and Romance embossing folders - seemed the perfect little gift to show her how much I care for and appreciate her! Bec and I run together regularly so I also wanted to show my appreciation and support for all of her appreciation and support for me!! YOU ROCK, BEC!!!

I have heaps more to do and show you this month so stay tuned!!! May will be APPRECIATION MONTH! I'm going to run with a theme every month from now on - whether it be showing appreciation or some other emotion/sentiment or spotlighting a certain product/range. Come back in June (hopefully before!!!) and see what's happening then :o)

Poppy Milk Carton for Easter and ANZAC Day...

Hope your Good Friday is going well!

We're having a VERY quiet day at home - sleeping in, relaxing, watching movies while eating popcorn, housework (unfortunately unavoidable if we are to wear clean clothes and eat off clean dishes!), blogging and crafting! Couldn't ask for a better day!!! Might make some Hot Cross Buns later with my bread maker and maybe some pumpkin soup for tea....

I want to share this mini milk carton I created using instructions from the talented Julie Storti - a fellow Kaszazz consultant. ANZAC Day follows Easter this year so I wanted to combine the two with the use of a poppy made from red tissue paper (punched with the Super Flower punch to make about 5 layers). I used the Jumbo Snowflake punch to cut 2 black snowflakes for the poppy's stamen. The bling in the middle of the poppy is a heart rhinestone from the Hearts and Borders Sticky Bling pack. The ribbon (not Kaszazz) is some I had in my stash from a Christmas box and I used a little green felt for the poppy stem. The hearts are cut from a scrap I'd stamped using the Dancing Hearts Rollagraph wheel. Strips of leftover new A-Z/Dots SB Paper were attached to the top of the carton just cause I thought it needed jazzing up!

The back of the carton is decorated with stamps from Kaszazz (sentiment from Easter Bunny stamp, some eggs from Easter Egg Border and the Love Postmark - stamped using the rock & roll technique - punched out with the Super Circle punch). All of the stamps images were sponged with Fired Brick Distress Ink.

Less is More (?) Acetate Challenge

Happy Easter everyone!

I wanted to share this card that I thought would be a great Easter card and might (???) qualify for the Less is More Acetate challenge.

Don't really know if this qualifies as a one layer card but I made this card using an Acetate base and scraps off my craft table/stash along with a couple of Kaszazz/Lucy's stamps (Butterfly Medley and Lazy Daisy) and some Gelati SB Paper (also Kaszazz). I coloured Lazy Daisy bear with Moonlight Smooch, the flowers with Taffy Smooch & just a touch of Kiwi & Gold Lame Smooch for the grass and flower centres. I finished by embellishing with some Sticky Gems - Pearls.

40 & Fabulous Frame Album

Hello!

I have wanted to share photos of this project since I last year when I made this Frame Album for my sister who celebrated her 40th birthday in March last year. I made the album in about 3 or 4 days and ran out of time to take photos before giving it to my sister at her surprise party then I was so busy keeping an eye on my girls at the party I forgot to take photos there as well! That's Mummy's Brain for you!!!While we were visiting with my family a few weeks ago, I took the opportunity to take photos of the album and decided I would bring it home to fill the blank/unsigned pages with more photos from my sisters life. I haven't done that as yet however I aim to do this soon so I can get the album back to my sister.

Anyhow, I printed a cute kinder photo of my sister (with stylish palm tree hair-do!) on acetate to mount in the frame then covered the back of the frame with SB Paper so you can see the photo when the album is opened and closed. The majority of products used are from Kaszazz including Ebony & Ivory . I used a few chipboard letters (and numbers), alphabet stamps and retired ribbon & trim that I had in my stash and were not Kaszazz products.

The inner pages were stamped with a variety of Kaszazz stamps (Dainty Flourish, Medium Club, Club Border etc) and I used Flourish and Floral Bling rubons a well as a couple of border rubons from the Bountiful Borders pack to embellish and tie in with neutral theme...

I really enjoyed putting this album together and I'm pretty sure my sister liked it especially now that it has messages of love from family & friends in celebration of her 40th birthday in it.

Dotty Sentiments Cards

Hello again,

here's some cards made with the new A-Z/Dots Foundations SB Paper. I had a few scraps of this on my craft table and I LOVE pink with black & white, so ta-daaa!

I had made an Easter bag with the Ezy Press (complete with stamped and coloured shrinky tag) and this paper but forgot to take a photo before giving it away! Doh!!

That just means I'll have to make another, won't I !?!

Anyhow, these cards have a little of the new Satin ribbon now available along with the SB Paper and a couple of new Greetings stamp sets. Check out all the May Pre-release Products below...

These are some fridge magnets I made using the new Colorbox Archival Queue's, the new Happy Housewives Badge stamp set and my all time favourite product - Glossy Accents.

I'd cleaned our fridge off a few months ago and cut up all the magnets I didn't want anymore so I kept them for projects like this as well as some bookmarks that are in the making at the moment. When I'm done with those I'll put some pics up - hopefully later this week!

Male Card Set in a Box

G'day!

I haven't posted any new cards for a while so I wanted to share these masculine cards with you that I created with scraps of Flourish SB Paper, Distress Ink and retired twill that I still had in my stash.

I used a few different highlighting techniques with Glossy Accents, Distress Stickles and water blending the Distress Inks after I'd stamped the images.

I don't usually do male cards and I seriously needed some for my stash. I had a box that I'd made a couple of months ago from SB Essentials that I had been saving to decorate for just this purpose. These could all be used for Fathers Day cards or Birthday and Fathers Day - the plane card has Happy Fathers Day stamped inside.

Got some more cards to put up now that need to have their own post cause they're totally girlie cards - not so out of my comfort zone as these male cards were!! Its great to think outside your creative square sometimes though, hey?

Simone - whose You Tube videos have also been an inspiration to me and I'm sure many other consultants, great stuff, Simone!

and Grace another lovely Kaszazz consultant, who's blog is very eye catching & is the 'go-to' woman for all your blinky/sparkly bits and pieces on your blog! So grateful for her help with my Blog face lift - awesome!!

A Blog-facelift and another 2 Blog Awards!!

Hi there!

The last week has been very eventful here in blogland for me with the wonderfully clever Grace Holzhauser giving my blog a fantastic facelift. Thanks so much Grace - you're fabulous! Less is More with a Touch of Red

Hello again friends!

Just checked out the challenge on Less is More and thought I'd pop in this card that I'd made earlier in the week at a demo. Nice clean and simple card using a Distress Ink(Fired Brick)/Perfect Pearls(Forever Red) homemade mist. I used the Ezy Press and the Frame Heart along with Celebrate Script and Reason,Season, Lifetime stamps to create this card. All products are from Kaszazz.

I think this card fits perfectly with the Touch of Red challenge they have going at the moment and I have been wanting to share this card with you all week - it's just been a little hectic round here lately!!! Finally caught a break with a quiet weekend this week so I've well and truly taken the opportunity to post a few things on my blog that are a bit overdue! Better late than never, right?! Custom made card with an Old Favourite

Hi (yet again!) - 3 posts in a day!

I'm playing catch-up at the moment cause the last couple of weeks have been a little crazy and I haven't had a lot of time for blogging. I have been busy with demos and stalls, trying to get some projects written up for submission (another job for today - or this week, at least!) and the normal run of the mill Kindy & Day care drop/pick up & appointments etc. Not enough time in a day!!!

Anyhow, my neighbour requested a card for her friends who are going on a cruise holiday so I thought immediately of Lucy's Old Favourite stamp I have in my stash but haven't used very much. I masked to collage image and stamped the Reason, Season,Lifetime script stamp around the left side and top & bottom. I used Pebbles Inc.dry chalks to colour the image as well as some gold gel pen and Glossy Accents to highlight the ship. A few pearls were added at the end to finish the card off giving it a bit of a vintage feel along with the club border and some distress blending. The monogram letters are from the Carnival alphabet set. All of the supplies are from Kaszazz and I used all scrap bits and pieces from my craft table & scrap stash (which I do for most of my cards!) I'm really happy with the way it came up as was my neighbour - yay! A happy customer that's for sure :o) Hope you like it too! Leave some love if you do cause I love comments!

Blush & Lagoon Flourish Gift Sets

Hello again!

I hope your day has been great! I've had a chance to create today so I made a slightly different version of the 2 Hour (849) Blush Gift Set - created by Corinna Agius - which is a workshop you can choose from a huge array of Beyond the Page, Cardmaking, Scrapbooking and Page n Card Workshops all created by talented Kaszazz consultants from all over Australia. It's fantastic to be able to choose from so many wonderful projects!

The slightly altered Lagoon Flourish Gift Set ...

Since we usually have rectangular boxes of tissues in our household, I decided to make a tissue box cover to fit a rectangle tissue box therefore I didn't have a big enough piece of Natural Cardstock for the card. Instead I used a scrap piece of Oatmeal Card I had on my craft table so I had to adjust the size of the card to utilize that and a slightly smaller (than instructed) piece of Lagoon Flourish SB Paper. I used the Bellish Ezy Press Dots embossing folder (instead of the Miss You folder) and punched the flowers from the Natural cardstock with the super Scalloped Circle Punch then embossed them with Dots to make the flowers.I used Cream 1/4 " organdy ribbon. My daughter liked the blue tissue box cover so much she took it to bed with her! So cute - I will make her one for her room using Bella SB Papers. I'll put pics up when I've done that one!

Best get to bed and get some beauty sleep! Housework, demo prep and a run are all on the agenda tomorrow as well as entertaining & feeding the girls. Busy! Busy! Busy!

Early this morning, I discovered that I had received this award from Alethea over at lilodesigns. I feel so very honored! :o) It's great that this blogging journey seems to be worth it now that some of my lovely visitors have been leaving some wonderfully appreciative comments and receiving this award is proof that someone likes what I post!!!

More Cards made from scraps n stuff

I've been going through my scrap die cut and punchie stash to make some cards for my ready made stash. These are the cards I've come up with so far...

A few bright ones for little boys or kids ... a few of my eldest daughter's friends from mum's group & kinder are turning 4 so these are to give when she hasn't made a card (which she LOVES to do) of her own to give.

The next 3 cards are using scraps and sketches from the Clean & Simple Stamping blog. I downloaded all the past sketches to use as a guide with making clean & simple cards with my scraps. Absolutely awesome and just so easy!

The last 2 cards are for an anniversary and a kid's birthday. Lots of different elements and layers - a bit collage-y? Anyway, I think they came up alright. What do you think?

Cards made from scraps n stuff

Hi there again! Just thought I'd share these cards that I made the other day with bits and pieces from my scrap stash. This one has a little rosette made from Bella Quatro/Dots SB Paper. The embossed and blended piece was created using a custom embossing folder and Distress inks with the ink Blending Tool. Of course I had to finish it off with a bit of bling! The sentiment is a combination of stamps from the Word Montage Friends set and the Hello Greetings set.

This next one has the Shopping Design Adhesives used with Designer Foils (in Silver Foil) and Perfect Pearls (in Turquoise Sparkle and Berry Twist). I used some retired pink ric rac to embellish as well as a little strip of rhinestones on the silver bag. The SB Paper is Bella Quatro/Dots and the whirlpool circle is cut with the Ezy Press and the circle dies.

The next 2 cards are CASEd from an issue (volume 13 No 11) of Cardmaking, Stamping & Papercraft Magazine using the large Floppy Daisy stamp.

I think they're both pretty cute cards which is why I wanted to CASE them! I've adapted both cards to use colours I had in my scrap stash. Both are coloured with Aquacolour Crayons and a water brush pen.

Pearly Rose Frame for my Nana

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by! Yesterday my family and I went to visit my two new nieces (in Warrnambool and Macarthur) and my Nan who's in hospital in Hamilton at the moment. I decorated a wooden Ikea frame with Worn Lipstick Distress Crackle Paint then painted over it with Adirondack Pearl Paint Dabber for her gift. I stamped the corners of the frame with Coal Black Ancient Page ink and the Leafy Flourish stamp. The roses were created using Kaszazz Pink Crackle Sentiments SB Paper and I cut leaves with the Ezy Press from a scrap of Olive Leafy Flourish SB paper. The roses have a little pearl paint on them too and the leaves were distressed with Bundled Sage Distress Ink. I stamped the Postage Frame stamp in black on some white card then cut out the middle to make a mat for the photo of my girls. I made a special box to put it in as well to match the frame. I think it worked out nicely, don't you!?!

Anyhow, better get creating some more pages and cards to show at a demo I have coming up.

Shabby Chic Rose and Embossed Butterfly Card

Hi again! This is my 2nd post for the day- I'm on a roll! Wanted to share a card featuring a paper rose, a quilled flower and a custom embossed background. The paper rose was created using the technique used in this tutorial (which isn't the one I originally learned from because I can't remember which one I watched! There's heaps of tutorials for these roses on YouTube!) The custom embossing folder tutorial can be seen on Simone's Blog along with heaps of other great tutorials on how to do several other techniques using the Ezy Press. Her projects are awesome and she's a gem for sharing!! I'm going to make all of the projects she features to show to my friends and customers. There are also a few other Kaszazz consultants who have done YouTube tutorials featuring the Ezy Press - great job Danielle, Belinda, Erika, Jasmine and Vivienne- I really love watching all their videos and getting some great new ideas!

This card is for my Nana who is in hospital at the moment. Nan is 94 and until now has been really well & really independent. I hope she gets better soon - it seems her years may have caught up with her. We all love her and hope she gets to go home soon .

Will go because my little ones need some attention,

Round Baby Cards

Hi there,

Just wanted to share these round cards created using my new circle dies for the Ezy Press. I also used some flowers I had made at my recent New Products Make & Take where I taught 4 different paper flowers. These ones are spiral roses that I used along with some punched and die cut scraps I had in my stash. The butterfly is a shrinky that I had intended for a pair of earrings but decided to use different butterflies instead! Isn't it great that you can use embellishments like this on cards, jewellery, scrapbook pages - anything, really!?! I made this card for my brother & sister in law in celebration of the safe arrival of my niece Cassandra Kelly. I hope they'll like it!! Looking forward to having cuddles with Cassandra soon :o)

The next card is also to celebrate the birth of another niece who is about to be born any moment. My brother Martin & his wife Belinda are expecting their first child anytime. In fact, she may be in labour as I write this!

They have fitted out the baby's room with cute owls so I used a couple of Kaszazz owls to decorate the card. One owl is Oscar and the other is a rub on of Big Al sitting on the branch from the Love and Cherish set. I used the Ezy press circle and tag dies as well as both the Dots and Miss You embossing folders to create the card. The pink ribbon is from my stash (non Kaszazz) but I'm hanging out to get some of the new Satin Ribbons on range from Kaszazz now.
The Welcome stamp is from the Adorable Uncut Stamp set and I attached the stamped tag piece with chocolate eyelets and the Punch n Set (which you could earn as a freebie until the end of February - call or email me for more info!)

Anyway, I am so excited to hear their news, I can hardly wait!!! I'm planning on making nappy cakes for both of my new nieces so I'll take some pics when I've done them and show you! Till then, have a great day,

Happy Valentines Day!

Well, it's nearly over and it's been a full on day walking back and forth, dropping Caitlyn at Kinder, music group with Bella, picking Caitlyn up from kinder, home for lunch, walk to doctors for vaccinations and home again. Phew!!! Both girls were in bed at 6.30 tonight - yay!! So before I hit the hay (cause I'm exhausted too!) I thought I'd put the Valentine's card I made for my hubby on here. I made it using a custom embossing folder (punched hearts layered together then adhered to thick card) and some stickers, stamps and scraps from my stash. I don't usually make valentines cards but thought I would have a play and use my practise sample from testing out my custom embossing folder. Most of the products are Kaszazz - both current and retired products. The patterned paper is non Kaszazz (scraps from my friend, Sue - Thanks!)

Haven't posted in a while cause of living life really - kinder has started for my eldest daughter, my youngest hasn't been well and have just been plain flat out then too tired to create - my mojo went missing and I've got a sore throat now from lack of sleep and the silly weather we're having. It's like living in the tropics in wet season here at the moment! The lower end of town has flooded 3 times in the last 153 days and the same people keep getting effected - my thoughts & prayers go out to all Aussies effected by the cyclone and floods that have been ravaging the country.
Just wanted to share a couple projects I have done in the last few weeks. I was inspired by http://pinkbuckaroodesigns.blogspot.com/2011/01/perpetual-calendar-tutorial.html
for this perpetual calendar. I used the new SB foundations Paper Blush/Stripes to cover and decorate the Chipboard backing. I used the Ezy Press to make some flowers and embellished with buttons and ribbon.

The easel card was created using new Funky Forest coloured rubons and the new Big Al, You're a hoot and Older & Wiser stamps on Opal Bling SB Essentials and Oatmeal card. Once again, I embellished with buttons and ribbon as well as some Ice Stickles, Glossy Accents and embossed with the Ezy Press.

Anyhow, thanks for stopping by. I'm off to play with some new stuff and finish making my custom embossing dies. Fun! More about that and some pics later!

New Background for a New Year!

Hi there, I've been thinking my blog needs a change since the start of the New Year so I've been checking out the free backgrounds that are available on the web. I came across Leelou Free Blog Layouts which had some really cute and colourful backgrounds and templates. So easy to install as well! I'd love to know what you think of my new blog "outfit" - feel free to leave a comment - I'd love to hear your feedback! I think my new outfit is colourful and fresh, ready for a new year and a new me! It's called Spring Princess and I liked it cause it has a mix of the black & white vintage/shabby chic style to go with my blog header as well as all the other colours to brighten up my blog. Of course, I had to have a butterfly (in the top 10 of my favourite things, for sure! Fi = butterflies!) some where on it to go with my title and Spring is my favourite season so that appealed to me heaps as well!!Anyhoo, better get doing some creating or at least wrapping the mystery prize for my Make & Take Demo on Sunday. My New Year's Resolution and December 2010 Christmas Craft

Hi, Hope you've had an awesome 1st day of 2011! My day has been good although waking up with a headache wasn't a really great start. The good thing was, it was from having a great New Years Eve with some wonderful friends and having a few drinks throughout the night!I wanted to post to say Happy New Year to all my loved ones and my wonderful and supportive customers who help to keep me inspired to inspire them. I hope 2011 will be filled with positivity and strength in will and love for everyone I know including my family and myself.I also wanted to share some pics of my Christmas craft I did during December 2010...

A Christmas card I made during one of my last demonstrations for 2010 became a friend's Christmas card! I altered the wreath for our front door to be more co-ordinated with my other Chrissie decorations ie the traditional red, green, gold, silver and white... (it previously had a pink bow on it and no poinsettia or gold embellishments)The Christmas tree luminary you see here was inspired by a tutorial I found on this blog: http://addinkandstamp.blogspot.com/2010/10/tutorial-for-christmas-tree-luminaire.htmlI used all Kaszazz products including the Ezy Press to make two of them to put on the table for our family Christmas lunch. They have a battery operated tea light in the box that the luminary tree shade sits on...

The Hocking family Christmas was at our house for 2010. It turned out to be a pretty cold rainy day so we set up 2 long tables inside (we were planning to eat outside but you can't always count on the weather to stick to your plans!!) so we were very cozy! I had heaps of fun decorating the tables with ornaments and star garlands, candles etc...I stamped some candles for my daughter's day carer's Christmas gifts and made matching tags to go with each one...

I made Calendar Easel cards with pics of my girls on each for each of my brothers and sisters and their families, my parents and in-laws and my Nana. I made 10 of these...I also finally finished the frame (below) that I had started in September to be part of my New products samples but just plain ran out of time. I had stamped and embossed in gold the background and had it sitting on my craft table waiting for inspiration and the time to come to finish it. I was inspired by Naomi Elliott's blog to use a stamped quote to remind me to live in the present in order to make the most of the moments I have right now rather than worry about what will happen in the future or what has happened in the past - I have really been struggling with this lately.I have hung this frame above my craft table to remind me to take one day at a time which is my resolution for 2011!What's your resolution for the New Year? I don't normally make them cause it doesn't take me long to break them usually. This one I think will be different because I need to do this for health and happiness for my family and myself.We'll see what happens!!!

My Ezy Press Advent Calendar

Hi there bloggers! It's been awhile since I've posted mostly because I've been busy doing demonstrations, therefore I've been busy creating for those plus my 2 girls have kept me on my toes a fair bit lately. My 14 month old daughter has totally left her crawling days behind her and is into everything!! Very cute but VERY mischievious :o)

Hayfever has well and truly got hold of me this season and I've been trying oodles of natural and pharmaceutical remedies to try to ease it, some are working a little better than others but none have helped completely. If you have any hayfever remedies that work for you, I'd love to read about them so please leave a comment!

I have achieved one major craft goal this year (which I have been wanting to do for the last 2 years)! Hooray, I finally made my girls an Advent Calendar inpired by a couple of designs in Better Homes and Gardens magazine from the last 2 years' Christmas issues. It only took me three days to make on a base of MDF I had waiting for me to make a memo board with. I have seen this in pinks, aqua blues and white which looks just beautiful.

I pretty much stick to traditional red, green, white, silver and gold at christmas at my house. I have been tempted to go aqua blue, white and purple but I never have any extra cash to splash about on a Christmas theme change, so traditional colours it stays! Anyway, I used Kaszazz Christmas and Merry Christmas (and a little Enchanted) range SB papers as well SB Essentials and Bazzill Basics card along with my Ezy Press and some cute bag and box dies. I also used the Frame #19 circle die, the Lace Border 2 in 1 Cut and Emboss Die and Numbers & Punctuation die. Punches used were the Super Circle, Jumbo Circle, Super Scalloped Circle, Jumbo Scalloped Circle, Small Snowflake and Super Reindeer. Ribbons used were 1/8" silver edge, white grosgrain, white dots organdy and brown mini gingham. I used a few Rhinestone brads for the centres of the rosettes (on top of the little boxes) and on the bags to secure the ribbon handles. I put lollies, balloons and a little treasure like Christmas stickers, hairbands, hairclips or bracelets this year. Next year I will probably put something different in each bag or box.

This card was inspired by the Clean and Simple FTL113 card sketch challenge, I had a play with some Sissix Embossing folders in my Ezy Press and decided to use my play samples on this card. Supplies used were; Card - Green Tea Bazzill, Carrot Card Essentials, White Cardstock

Stamp - Friends Mini Messages

Paper - Espresso SB Paper

Embossing Folders - Dots and a flourish one (both not available from Kaszazz)

Inks - Coal black Ancient page, Kiwi, Molasses and Moonlight Smooch

Tools - Paper Trimmer and Distresser

This is the first challenge I've done of this kind. Just thought I would have a go!

Hello there! I'm back after10 days or so of playing and collecting new products to play with :o) I've also got some other cards using the September New products which I made for my Make and Take Demonstration at the start of this month. My apologies for not sharing yet, but here they are now!!

The black, gold & red Christmas card I created using the new Lace background stamp and the Large & Small Bauble Stamps along with the Star (all embossed in gold). I cut and embossed the lace border from white card with the new Ezy Press -which I love!!! - and used the red/metallic gold stitch ribbon for the trim. The star stamp has been stamped and embossed twice, then the inner swirly star has been cut out and layered on top of the full star image and fastened together with an Antique Gold brad. The Star ornaments below are made with the same stamp. I stamped the image 5 times with Perfect Medium and embossed each one with either silver or gold embossing powder. I cut out each image, scored them down the center and folded them. I then used Glossy Accents to glue one half of one star to the back of the next star half and continued until all the star images were joined together. Before I glued the first & last half stars together, I inserted a loop of metallic edged ribbon into the middle to create the loop to hang on the tree with. This star makes a great Christmas tree ornament, don't you think?

This card was created using the circle and flower scraps from making my gift bags for my New Products Demo.I also used the Lace background stamp and the Special Moments stamp on white card with Coal Black Ancient Page ink. I added a few rhinestones and some Ice Stickles to give it a bit more pizazz.

The next 3 cards were created with various Design Adhesive designs and the new Designer Foils. They are both so easy to use and work brilliantly together! All of these cards could be used for Christmas cards although the top one is a bit more occasional - it could be used for a birthday, wedding or engagement card also. The gifts and diamonds are from the I do! and Fancy Edges Design Adhesives. The sentiment is from the Celebrate Design Adhesives and I used Silver Fog, Seaport and Plum Crazy Designer Foils.I finished the card off with the Silver edged white ribbon which was pre-released for the September New Product launch.

This one has a felt scalloped flower underneath the bow although it's a bit hard to see in this photo. I was playing with my Ezy Press to see what other medium it can cut and it cuts felt quite well! I used the Funky Forest and Celebrate Design Adhesives with Silver Fog, Goldmine and Cherry Ripe Designer Foils.

The Design Adhesives used for this card were Holly Border and Jolly Greetings along with Irish Eyes, Cherry Ripe and Goldmine Designer Foils. I used part of the Wishing you Bunches of Love stamp to begin the sentiment and the red/metallic stitch ribbon finished it off nicely. I found it a bit difficult to get the red only on the berries and not on the leaves for this card but hey, I'm new to this foil stuff so I need to practise!!

This Funky Fold card pattern was given to me by Mandy who is a great inspiration. Thanks heaps, Mandy. I hope to show you the real thing next time I see you! i had previously stamped and embossed the large Poinsettia with gold onto Green Script and Red Crackle SB Paper and cut the petals only from the red image. I mounted the red on the green with Magic Mount and added some Tarnished Brass Distress Stickles to the centre. Other stamps used were the Merry Christmas script small, Fancy Flourish and the Christmas Postage Mark. I stamped all the images with Aged mahogany Distress ink and added a little more Distress Stickles here & there to highlight dots. The vellum was embossed using a Fiskars Texture Plate in my Ezy Press - it works quite well as long as you slowly - so you don't crack the plastic texture plate ( I learnt this the hard way!) - wind it through and use a custom shim board on top! I matted the embossed vellum on a piece of Pomegranate Card Essentials and adhered it to the Oatmeal Card base. The scalloped circle was cut using the Ezy Press too then stamped with the postage mark stamp.

I had a strip of Ebony and Ivory SB paper on my worktable and decided to use it to decorate the mini box along with a Pearl gem after punching some flowers from the paper and some vellum and layering them together to create a rather flat lotus flower.

Finally, here's a little stand/hanger I made to hang my Shrinky earrings on for display and to keep them tidy and together. I had a couple of stalls over the last two weeks which I took these to to show what can be done with Shrinky Dinks, some ink, rhinestones and jewellery findings. The hanger/stand is a 6x6" chipboard album cover with a Bazzill Card stand. I stamped the Fancy Flourish in Gold to match the Gold-edged Cream ribbon and added two pieces of ribbon across the board to fit 8 pairs of earrings (or hair clips) and a piece of ribbon tied to the holes punched in the top to be able to hang it if needed.

Some more cards using new stuff...

Hi again!

Back from visiting my folks and just wanted to put a few more cards up here that I had made for my New Products Day. This one has part of the new Summer Sandie SB Paper on it. I wanted to feature both sides and I had rolled the Birdies image onto some card a few days before making this card so i thought they would go really well together. It's a bit brighter card than I would normally make but I'm starting to create things that are a bit out of my colour comfort zone lately. I sprayed the bird image with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz to add some shimmer and co-ordinate with the organdy ribbon.

The next 2 cards are using the new Butterfly Medley stamp which I have fallen in love with (what butterfly fanatic wouldn't?!) after borrowing it from a lovely Kaszazz consultant -thanks heaps Chris! I had stamped a heap of butterflies with Fluid chalk inks on gloss card for a few cards I had in mind and had some left so I made this green one and the red and orange one below.

I pretty much always make my cards with whatever I have lying around from creating pages or going a bit silly with stamping images and not using them - thus, these cards are the result! Hope you like them!
I'm going away to my lovely friend, Lisa's house on the weekend with two other lovely friends, Corie and Kym, to scrap and craft our little hearts out! Needless to say, I CAN"T WAIT!!! Thankfully my husband is willing to let me go and have some child free time to get heaps of well overdue scrapping and cardmaking done so I'll have heaps to show when I get back!
I'm sure we'll be giving the Ezy Press a real workout!

Projects from playing with my Ezy Press!

Hi there! It's been a little while since I posted so I'm sorry about that. Time flies when you're having fun and what a lot of fun I've had playing with my Ezy Press roller Die Cutting machine!!! I had my September New Products Make and Take demonstration at my house on Sunday and made all my guest gifts bags with the easy to use Ezy Press. It really does live up to its name!!! Here are a few pics of the cute little bags all embellished with card and paper cut with the Ezy Press too : ) A HUGE THANK YOU TO MY 12 WONDERFUL GUESTS WHO CAME TO MY MAKE AND TAKE. I appreciate the time you gave me and I hope that I provided you with some inspiration and an enjoyable afternoon. I will be announcing the Mystery Host for the day as soon as I finalise orders so stayed tuned! The lucky winner will get a lovely surprise when I let her know who has won :o) Congratulations to Margaret who won the Lucky Door prize. I hope you will enjoy using your goodies!

All the bags had scalloped circles (cut with the Ezy Press) stamped with the Handmade Bird stamp on the back. Each bag contained a pair of earrings made with Shrinky Dinks and rhinestones. I used all Kaszazz punches including the new Reindeer punch to created the shapes, punched holes in the background shapes, then coloured them with Fluid Chalk Inks and Colorbox Metallic inks. I put them all in the oven (easy to shrink quickly when there's heaps to do rather than using the heat tool - better for fine shapes like the reindeer too) to shrink which only took about 3-5 minutes then used the Kaszazz jump rings and some earring hooks (not Kaszazz) to complete them. I used the outside card from cutting the tags in the Ezy Press to hold the earrings in the bags so my guests could just pull the card out with the earrings dangling from it!

Here are some cards I've made while playing with the Ezy Press. Sooooo much fun!!! Thanks Chris for letting me borrow your butterfly stamps and some of the new Christmas stamps too - will put the Chrissie cards I have done on here soon...

A Nappy Cake for a Baby Shower...

Hi again!
Just wanted to share some pics of my Nappy
Cake I made for my friend's Baby Shower to use as a centrepiece on the gift table. This is my gift to Peta, so if you're reading this before Sunday, Pete, just act surprised, ok?! :)
I've used some safety pins from the Kaszazz Aged Copper embellishment kit and some Organdy White Dots Ribbon to embellish and keep it together...

The base is a chipboard circle which has been covered with Yellow Crackle Sentiments SB Paper and the edge was distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The daisies are from my stash (sorry, they're not Kaszazz products, they just went better with the 'cake' then the Kaszazz ones!) The decoration on top are singlets rolled into roses along with some leaves I had in my stash...

The giraffe is a little squeaky toy for the bub to play with. I used about 35 newborn sized nappies and 3 cotton interlock wraps to make this 'cake'. There is a bottle of bubbly in the centre for the parents-to-be to celebrate the birth when the baby arrives!
I'm looking forward to having a lovely afternoon for Peta on Sunday. I'm making lemon meringue tarts, cupcakes and scones and they'll be lots of other yummy stuff to nibble on too - thanks to all Peta's friends who are bringing some food to share!!! I hope to get some snaps on the day so stayed tuned for some creativity with those!

Some Card Workshops...

Well, hello there!
I'm a week later than I thought I would be with getting these sample pics up but better late than never, right?! I've been trying to control an outbreak of conjunctivitis in my house and coping with a couple of little girls with sore eyes is pretty tiring, I've got to say! I also went to my folks place in the country for a couple of days to catch up with family - which was great, it's always good to see "home" again!

Here are some Card Workshop samples I've been making up...

These cards can be made by you when you book in for the 2H192 Shabby Chic Cards Workshop - created by Naomi Elliott. The cost of this workshop is $20 per person. They are made using stamping, watermarking, embossing and punching techniques. These are a versatile set of cards for birthdays, weddings, congratulations (baby or otherwise) or thinking of you.

You will learn how to paint with the Lyra Aquacolour Crayons in the 2H206 Painted Aquacolour Cards Workshop - created by Jocelyn Styles. This workshop is also $20 per person. Other techniques learnt are stamping, embossing, punching and embellishing with ribbons.

Techniques learnt in the 2H623 Castaway Butterflies Cards Workshop - created by Jan Watts - are stamping and distressing with Distress Inks, punching and embellishing with paper fasteners. One of the cards is a pocket and insert and there is also a small stand (not pictured) - to display a card - which can be made in this workshop. This workshop is $25 per person.

A couple of pages and some invitations later...

Well, hello there! Hope you're having a great day so far :o)
I have done a couple of single page layouts and some Baby Shower nappy invitations since I last posted. The first page was created using some of the Enchanted range SB papers, sandpaper (to distress the paper), Vanilla Bazzill, Jumbo Rollagraph Crackle Background wheel with clear embossing ink, Forever Red Perfect Pearls, Weathered Wood Distress Ink, Scallop Border Punch, Scalloped Circle Punch, Dotty Organdy Ribbon, Jumbo and Small Flower Punches, some Pewter brads, Rhinestones, Girl Words stamp set, Cute Letter Alphabet stamp set, Christmas Rubons word (wish) and some Sticky Gems Pearls. Here 'tis!

I used the wet scrunched flower technique to create the flowers. If you'd like to learn how to make these, email or call me to book a Demo or Workshop to create a page like this.

The next page is a little different to my usual style. This one is very linear or graphic, you might say. It was an easy page to put together as all I needed to do was measure the SB paper pieces to be the same width or height of the photos to line them up with photos properly, leaving a 1/2 cm gap between all the pieces. Then I inked to butterfly stamps with coordinating Fluid Chalk Inks to give them a graduating colour effect, cut them out and adhered only their bodies to the page. I added some Sticky Gems Pearls (around the word 'Smile' & on 3 pieces of the SB paper) and Ice Stickles for a little bling on the butterflies bodies. Most of the SB Paper is from the Gelati range except for the green piece which is from the Life's a Beach range and the Aqua piece (from the Bella range). It shows that you don't have to stick to one paper range to be able to co-ordinate colours well, I think. What do you think? Does it work? Leave a comment, I'm open to feedback!

The chipboard letters are from the Alphabet Popouts and are painted with Snow Cap Paint Dabber and edged with French Blue Fluid Chalk Ink.

I am throwing a Baby Shower for my girlfriend Peta in a couple of weeks and wanted to do some cute invitations for it. I found a nappy template online (sorry, I can't remember what site it was - I just googled 'nappy card template') and adjusted it to the shape I wanted. I used a the Oscar Owl stamp and the branch stamp from the Love & Cherish stamp set along with Weathered Wood and Vintage Photo Distress Inks to stamp and distress the edges of the invitations. Most of the invitations were made using Kaszazz only products except for the 'You're Invited' & 'It's a Shower' stamps which are EK Success dial type stamps that I have in my stash. Anyway, here's some pics...

I'm happy with the way the outside turned out but if I was to do nappy invitations again, I would print the wording on one long piece to put down the middle of the nappy - like a liner - and stamp the top and bottom around it. I had a bit of a time and product restraint so I had to do them the way they are. Never mind, you live and learn, hey?!

I have used the My Boy Paper in this layout for a christmas & boy theme combined as the photos are from last Christmas and they feature my nephews with my youngest daughter for her first Christmas. I have used Chipboard brackets, stars and a shield as embellishments and for the journalling.

I have used Silver Foil Smooch Spritz with Chipboard Alphabet Popouts for this layout then after drying, I used Glue Gloss to add some Candy Floss Glitter to the letters for some extra bling. I used Daisy Daze Design Adhesives to create glittered flowers (again, with Candy Floss Glitter) on white Card Essentials and plastic. The Springtime Black Adhesive Flock added to the garden theme. I dotted the butterfly wings and the small daisies with Ice Stickles and used rhinestones (6mm round & small ones from Sticky Bing Flourish) in the centres of the bigger flowers. I then used 3 butterflies I had cut separately from the length of Adhesive Flock, adhered to and cut them out of plastic, then folded the wings up and attached them with Super tape to the left page. This makes the butterflies appear to be in flight. The SB papers are from the Gelati range which is great for girly and summery pages. I rollagraphed the top of the page with white ink and the Daisy Daze wheel then attached small rhinestones to the centres of most of the flowers. A very blingy layout, indeed!!

I had some more fun with the Dancing Hearts Design Adhesives and Pearlescent chalks to create this Pretty in Pink Page & Pocket Piece Layout...

I tore, rolled & distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink some Make Believe Vellum and embellished with pink stitched ribbon and a couple of bows. I used the Dancing Hearts Rollagraph Wheel and the Dancing Hearts Design Adhesives (with brown Pearlescent chalk) to embellish the page & 2 pocket pieces. I have also used part of the Sentiments and Baby Cakes Design Adhesives with Cinnamon Spice Glitter to further embellish the layout. The title of the layout (Close Encounters of the Chocolate Kind) is inspired by the photo of my daughter with chocolate frog all over her face - cute but messy!!

Here's a wedding card I demonstrated using the I Do! Design Adhesives with Turquoise Perfect Pearls.

Using plastic as my base, I adhered Lagoon Card Essentials to the inside. After adhering the Mr & Mrs Design Adhesive to a strip of Vellum and dusting with Perfect Pearls, I attached the vellum - with vellum tape - to the Lagoon card. I stamped a strip of White Card Essentials with the Dots Background stamp & Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, then scalloped the top with the Scallop Border Punch. After tying a piece of white organdy ribbon around the white stamped strip, I attached it to the card front with small pieces of Super Tape. The Design Adhesive gift was also Perfect Pearled with Turquoise on a piece of white card then attached with Magic Mount over the ribbon. Finally, I attached small pearl Sticky Gems between each scallop on the card front. Simple yet really effective!
I had been really inspired by a layout I saw on consultant, Naomi Elliott's blog a long while ago and had wanted to give it a go. It is a layout using an insert of plastic and rubons used on the plastic. It looked great so I just had to try it for myself. I have used papers from the Enchanted range and rubons & bling from the Elegant Flourish and Bling Rubon pack. Here tis'...

I used a strip of Enchanted Journal Mist under the plastic on each page for aesthetic effect so there was no clashing with the pages they backed onto in my albums.It takes away from the effect the plastic gives as an insert, but looks better when placed in an album this way.

Lastly, I did a sample of the Bella Tiles page that is from 2H232 All Boy! or Bella Tiles Page n Card Workshop - created by Amarylise Bessey - currently available for customers to create ($25 per person). I used my daughter's christening photos as a feature and embellishments for this page. The workshop also includes a birthday card created using tiles from SB Paper.

I have been busily making samples of workshops to also get some of my photos of my youngest daughter scrapped from when she was first born. I have used 2H173 Love Page n Card Workshop - created by Karen Harris - as inspiration for a Page & Pocket Piece Layout. This workshop is all about love so it can feature photos of anyone or anything that you love. Here are my sample pics...

I have also made up my version of 2H330 Little Boy Blue Scrapbooking Workshop - created by Heather Cooper - except I've made it a Little Pink Girl Layout instead. The Sentiments SB range used in this workshop comes in Pink, Lemon Yellow or Blue with the Scatter pattern on one side and a Crackle pattern on the other of the double sided paper. Check out my sample photos (I apologise for the less than perfect photography)...

I changed the title slightly to be Bella Sisters instead of princesses even though my eldest daughter looked like a princess with her tiara on in some of the photos!

Cards using scraps and a layout ....

Hello again!
The last few days have been spent making cards using scraps from a scrapbooking and card workshop I have recently done samples of. I often have quite a few scraps from making up samples for my workshops so I thought I would put them to good use and make some cards. I have also used some Design Adhesives, glitter, Perfect Pearls, Adhesive Flock, Smooch, rhinestones and some Shrinky Dinks I had made up ready to use. Hope you like them!

I had made some Shrinky pendants/tags a few weeks ago to display and demonstrate at my Make & Take Demonstration in June and thought I would make some cards to attach them to as an embellishment. Here they are...

I have a Make & Take Demonstration booked for tomorrow night so I created this Page & Pocket Piece layout to show the host & her guests. I used My Girl Patch/Dots SB Paper, Taffy SB Essentials, Heidi Bazzill and Black Cardstock along with Pretty Petals & Butterfly Swirl Design Adhesives, Berry Twist Perfect Pearls, Large Daisies, Frosted Grape & Silver Foil Smooch Spritz, Funky Blooms Quick Quotes (from the Scalloped Circle Quick Kit), hearts,scalloped circle & border punches, Chipboard letter, Dots Background stamp. Black Soot Distress Ink, Pink Sherbert and Snow Cap Paint Dabbers and part of a scalloped chipboard circle.

Some workshop samples and other projects...

Hi again,
I've been working on getting some more workshop samples done in the last week or so for my workshops. I also like to do workshop samples because I like the particular cards or layout and they teach some great new techniques or use products that I want to have a play with. I've just finished a couple of card workshops I'd been itching to do. One is the 2H630 By the Sea Card making workshop - created by Naomi Elliott - which uses blending with Distress inks, layering, embossing and embellishing with Shrinky Dinks. I think they're beautifully rustic and I love blending & playing with Shrinky Dinks. They are my 2 favourite techniques at the moment! What do you think? This workshop is $20 per person. The other cards are using the new Adhesive Flock -Springtime- Black which has been pre-released as a September New Product. It's a great product to use and it's teamed perfectly with the Sticky Gems - Pearls (from our May New Products Release) in the 2H659 Essential Flock Cards Workshop - created by Cheryl Devlin. I think they're really stunning and really easy to make. Perfect for beginners! This workshop is $25 per person.

I have also done the 2H592 Funky Friends Collage 12 x 12 layout - created by Jenni Blais - which uses the new Funky Blooms SB Paper and Dotty ribbons along with some stamping, embossing and embellishing with Rhinestones. It's very bright and funky, that's for sure! This layout can be created for $30 per person.

I had a request from a customer a couple of weeks ago to show her some distressing techniques, so I thought I would incorporate quite a few Distress products and techniques into one layout. I've used blending, distress embossing on Design Adhesives and chipboard, crumpling and direct to paper distressing, crackle painting, tearing and rolling on paper and vellum. Here's the layout, I think it's come up well. It's what I'd imagined it would look like anyway...

July Workshops

Hello there,
Here are the workshops I'll be running during July. The first workshop is a Scrapbooking project (created by Naomi Elliott) using Chipboard Popouts, Smooch Spritz, Rubons, stamping with the Rollagraph & stamps and embellishing with metal embellishments. You will need to bring 4 landscape 6 x 4 photos of either travel, girl, boy or wedding themed photos. The cost of this workshop is $30 per person. When? Friday 9th of July from 1 til 3.30 pm.
Here are some photos of what you'll be creating...

The travel themed layout is a Page & Pocket Layout (to fit perfectly in the Pebbles albums available from Kaszazz) while the girl themed layout is a 12 x 12 layout. This layout is easily adapted to be either one.

The techniques on these cards are easily adapted to suit a scrapbook page or layout so if you're more of a scrapbooker, there's some great techniques to learn in this workshop.

New Projects and New Products Make & Take Demonstration

Back again - I didn't realise it had been as long since my last post. Been super busy making cards and layouts. Here's a layout I've created using the Bloomers Rollagraph wheel and the matching Bloomers Design Adhesive with Blush Perfect Pearls for a semi shabby chic layout of my daughter Bella. I've also used Spun Sugar Smooch Spritz and Pink Sherbet Paint Dabber for the title and chipboard embellishments...

I've also done up my version of the 2H476 Colour Illusions Scrapbooking Workshop created by Samantha Kurtz. I have used the 'Its a Girl!' Rollagraph Wheel with the Ancient Page Primrose Ink Cartridge to stamp around the edges and frame of this layout as well as the 'Its a Girl!' Design Adhesives and Ballet Pink Embossing Powder to create the title and embellishments. Take look...

I've also used a little Sassy Smooch to add a touch of hot pink to the title and embellishments. If you'd like to learn how to do this layout, I'd be happy to teach you! Let me know by email or phone (you can find my contact details under my profile).

I held my own May New Products Make and Take Demonstration yesterday at my house. I had a small group of ladies and 1 little lady come to see some cool new techniques and projects. Thanks Val, Sam, Emily, Dianne, Sue and Vicky for coming out on such a rainy day! It was great to see you all. Thanks Sue for arriving early & helping to set up and cut up the Magic Mount for the Make & Take project! Thanks Vicky for the extra catalogues and fliers and the Magic Mount for Sue to cut up!! Congratulations also to Sam for winning the Mystery Host prize and Dianne for winning the Lucky Door prize! I hope the afternoon was a source of inspiration to all of you. Here's some of the projects I had to show them.
The Smooch Marbling Cards...

The Design Adhesive and Shrinky Dinks Tags/Pendants... ( the flower one was created using the Flower Stems Uncut stamp set as well as the Doodle Design Flowers Uncut set with Ancient Page Coal Black ink. I sprayed the back with the Seakiss and Emerald Sprinkle Smooch Spritz to colour the background. The flowers were coloured with Taffy, Sassy, Carrot, Kiwi, Green Apple and Grape Soda Smooch) Thanks to Naomi Elliott for the inspiration & instructions for these.

We also did either a card or single page scrapbooking layout for the Make & Take Project using Design Adhesives and Perfect Pearls. This was my project ( I did the right page to match the left page I had done previously to show as my sample)... I have used the French Swirl Design Adhesives with Sunflower Sparkle Perfect Pearls. I also added some Pearl Sticky Gems and distressed them a little to tone down the white and match the distressing around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I had made up the Funky Blooms Cardmaking Kit (RRP $24.95) to show my guests yesterday. I made heaps of cards (22 and still had some bits of card left!) Here are some of them ... At a little over $1 per card who could ask for more!! Kaszazz have many other Cardmaking Quick Kits available. Check them out at www.kaszazz.com

My guests took home a little gift pillow filled with Mints & Fruit Lollies so they could be fresh and funky just like the new papers!! I sprayed 5 different colours of card with coordinating Vivid! and Perfect Pearls then Vanilla Smooch Spritz. Then they were all stamped with the Dots Background stamp in Black Vivid! ink. I then Marbled some white card with Smooch in coordinating colours and used a strip and punched Scalloped Circles to embellish along with strips of the leftover dotted card. I used the Doodle Design Bugs Uncut set to stamp on the marbled Super Scalloped Circles. Here they are. I think they're pretty cute :o)

New Cards and a layout...

G'day! Just putting some pics up of some cards using Design Adhesives seeing as June's Spotlight is on this versatile and really easy to use product. Design Adhesives come in heaps of different designs for all occasions. They are strips of double sided adhesive which comes in designs for you to stick straight onto your cards or scrapbook pages. Then you simply add glitter, Perfect Pearls, chalk or embossing powder and you have a fantastic image or sentiment as quick as a flash! Here are some cards using some of the fab designs available...

You can also use flocking, Flowersoft or Funky Fibres with Design Adhesives. Kaszazz don't currently stock these items (yet!) but you never know, with all the great products being released onto the Kaszazz range, they could be just around the corner!! They have just pre-released Adhesive Flock - Spring Time - Black which is a flocked design of flowers and butterflies that co-ordinates beautifully with the new Funky Blooms range of papers and stamps. There are also a few new ribbons on range including 1/2" Black Grosgrain and Red, White and Black 1/4" Velvet. More great ribbons to co-ordinate with the Funky Blooms and Romance SB ranges. The majority of ribbons on range are also coming down in price so it'll be even more affordable to embellish with ribbons on your cards and layouts.Anyway, back to the Design Adhesives. I have made a few cards which were created by Naomi Elliott and added a couple more using Brown (Cinnamon Spice) and Purple(Grape Fizz) glitter.

These cards were made with scraps from my card and paper stash and various Design Adhesive designs with glitter and punches. I've added a little bling to go with the glitter.....I have also made some cards inspired by Naomi Elliott's Spritzed Rollagraph Card using some new Card Essentials and scrap Card from my stash. I used the Four Flowers Rollagraph wheel on one of the cards as used on Naomi's Make & Take Card (as seen on Scrapbook Creations Masterclass #6 DVD). On the other cards I have used the Butterfly Dream and Floral Burst wheels with co-ordinating Smooch Spritz to match the blue Card Essentials and Ladybug Bazzill respectively...

I also made up a Scrapbook Layout with Design Adhesives, Smooch Spitz and a little Perfect Pearls....

Well, that's all for now. I'm in the process of organising my card scraps into ATC (Artist Trading Card) and card front sizes to be able to make quick cards when I sit down to craft. Time is of the essence with the 2 girls demanding time and attention so while they're little I like to be able to give them that cause I'm sure a lot of you know they grow so quickly and all of a sudden they don't need you so much or so often. Their childish innocence is so precious, I want to make the most of the time I have with them while they still have that. Ok, organising to do! Will post soon with more pages &/or cards...Cheers

A Scrapbook Layout as promised ....

Hi,
Back again with the layout I was going to put on here on yesterday. Hope you like it...I had lots of fun designing this one!
It has a some printing using the shaving cream and ink technique I've been playing with. Check it out...

I used Distress inks on top of a thin layer of shaving cream to use for the strip at the bottom of this layout. I've also used the new Funky Alphabet stamp set (which is one of the Host Gifts for July/August) for part of the title.
I used elements from the photos ie; Caitlyn's bib and the highchair pattern as inspiration for embellishing this layout. I also used a small scrap I had from the Scallop Border Design Adhesive to create the ribbon tab on the sides of the photos. I coloured the adhesive with blue pearlescent chalk from the Pebbles Chalk set and tied a few pieces of organdy ribbon through punched holes in the tabs. A great way to make use of really small scraps and add an extra bit of dimension to your layout.

Using the shaving cream & ink technique, I have used Vivid inks for these cards...
These are my Autumn Hues Foam Printing Cards. I have used the new Sticky Gems - Pearls and a large Daisy from the New May Products to embellish one of these cards. They all have a some Design Adhesive used with Forever Green Perfect Pearls.

Some cards and a layout using a new technique....

Hey there,

I haven't posted for a few days cause I've been busy using the prints from a technique using shaving cream and ink refills to make some cards and a double page layout. Here are the cards.

Off to Apollo Bay!

Well, I'm off to Apollo Bay tomorrow with Loz, Pete and Bec (my 3 best friends from beauty college). We've been friends since 1992 (nearly 20 years!!). How time flies hey? Here's a pic of us at Peta's wedding last October. I've put the photo in my Romance frame from the January New Products release cause I cherish our friendship very much.

We've been going on our Girls Weekends for the last 4 years (we missed one year cause I was still feeding Caitlyn - sorry girls!) and its a fantastic opportunity to get together cause we all live in different parts of Victoria with Pete & I being the closest within 20 minutes of each other. Amazingly, we still don't see much of each other because of work and family so it's fantastic to be able to get away and have a really good catch up and relax away from our everyday lives. It's Pete's birthday today so we'll have all the more reason to celebrate during our time away!! Happy Birthday Petey!!

I really love and appreciate all of these girls (well, women really). We have lots of laughs together and they are there in good times and bad for me and each other.
Cheers to a great weekend away and singing our lungs out to Singstar! Thank goodness we're staying at a semi remote place so the neighbours will be able to sleep after hearing my singing!! I wasn't exactly born with a great voice but it'll be a lot of fun anyway... Thanks Mariana for letting us stay at the Barn!

Back with more next week when I'm feeling tonnes more relaxed and revived!!! A huge thanks to my wonderful husband for all that he does and not ever complaining about all my craft mess or me escaping to have 'me/craft' time with my friends. I don't know if he realises how much he (and all he does) means to me but I love him to bits and our girls are so lucky to have him as their daddy!

My latest projects...

Hi all!
Hope you're all staying in out of the rain and cold weather we're having at the moment. Great scrappin' weather! Hooray, I say!
Here's the layout with the marbling I wrote about in my previous post. I've used marbling with Smooch inks on the photo mats for added interest as well as some Blush Perfect Pearls on the Great Times stamped images which have been stamped on the Bazzill Bling before mounting the photos onto the base pages. All embossing was also done with Perfect Medium and White Embossing Powder before mounting photos. I used the Ballerina Wishes stamp on Petalsoft Bazzill for the Ballerina Fairies. I embossed in white and coloured with Snow Cap Paint Dabber and Smooch Inks to go with Caitlyn's pyjamas in the photos.

I used Pebbles Foam Stamps - Bonbon Alphabet (discontinued from Kaszazz range which I'm willing to sell cheap!) and embossed in white on Glitz Bazzill Bling for the title. We have a great new Funky Alphabet Stamp Set in a similiar font (better, I think, but still waiting to get my set).

I have also altered my Apple of Daddy's Eye Layout by adding a more prominent title and magic mounted some blossom flowers on top of the original stamped and Smooched blossoms to add dimension and interest. I think it looks better. What do you think?

I also made a card using the marbling technique we learnt at the May Team Training Day. Here it is. Hope you like it. I used the ribbon and embellishment that was tied to our giftbag of jellybeans from Corinna at TTD and the Floppy Daisy stamp Smooched with Green Apple, Taffy and Gold Lame Smooch.

The 2H607 Shrinky Dinks Boy Cards created by Zena Melville were lots of fun to make. I love watching the shrinky dinks do their little dance while they're shrinking!

The 2H Bling Punch cards are great for beginners to make 5 beautiful sparkly cards for all occasions...

May New Products

Hi!
First, I'd like to sat a huge THANK YOU to all my followers. Its great to see you like visiting my blog. I hope that it will keep inspiring you with ideas for your own projects.
Finally the May Products have been released and there is some exciting news to share about an upcoming release of a product I've been looking at buying. I just hadn't decided which one I would get yet, now I'm waiting for the Kaszazz die cutting machine! Yay! I'm excited and waiting to see when it will come out. It's still a few months away yet so I'll keep you updated on the when, what and how much.

I also want to apologise for not posting before now. My family and I have all been sick with colds and bronchitis for 2 weeks, so we've all been a bit energy stricken and miserable really. Also, my Uncle Robert passed away on Mothers Day night so we said goodbye to him yesterday with his family. My thoughts are with Aunty Joyce, Warren, Trevor and Paul and all their families. Cute, aren't they?! Here's some more projects made with the new products...

Corinna, Kym, Lisa and I with Karen and Peter Stock, the Owners and Directors of Kaszazz. We were lucky to have Peter and Karen visit our Team Training Day. It was great to see them and get the exciting news about the Die Cutting Machine straight from Peter himself!
We also learnt some fantastic new techniques on the day - marbling with Smooch to name one! Gorgeous effect. Stay tuned for a layout I'm working on using this technique. We all had a fantastic day. I'm looking forward to the next one in September! Hopefully we'll have the die cutting machine then so we can have a big play :)

Happy Mothers Day!

Hi to all mums of the 2 and 4 legged varieties and especially my mum! Love you lots and it was great to see you today xo.
I hope you've had a fantastic day as I have. I went out for a nice lunch with my family from Hamilton, Melbourne, Macarthur and Ballarat which was a great catchup for all of us. No-one had to cook or clean up afterwards. Hooray for that, I say!

On the crafting front, I made a small brag album for my Nana (who is a spritely 93 years old!) of all her great grand children. It's the 2H262 Flourish Photo Wallet Beyond the Page Workshop which is small enough to fit into a handbag and holds up to 8 photos of your loved ones. If you'd like to learn how to make this cute little album, please contact me.
Cost per person is $20 and photos & embellishments can be added later.

This album is a great gift idea for parents, grandparents and great grandparents! Try it in other paper ranges and embellishments! Hope you like it. It's so easy I want to make another one with the new Funky Blooms SB Paper range that's coming out in just over a week. How exciting! I'll put it on here then, stay tuned for that and more...

My Creative Challenge Card for Facebook

Hi there!

Just wanted to put up a card I whipped up last night using scraps and and a sketch from the creative challenge group I'm in on FB. I used Smooch to watercolour a flower I had rollagraphed previously. The reverse scallop piece was leftover from my challenge sample for Kym's Creative Challenge and the SB paper is from the sentiments range. I used Romance Bazzill for the thinner pieces and edged them and the SB Paper with my new Spun Sugar Distress Ink. I finished off with some medium Rhinestones from the Flourish Bling Rubon Pack and some 6mm Rhinestones (both clear & Multi coloured) for the center of the flower. The 'cherish' is from the Live Love Laugh Rubons. I used the Berrylicious ink from the Big Top Queue (ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink) to edge the Pomigranite base Card. Hope you like it...

Tomorrow, I'll be making some samples for the Team Traning day with a few friends which I'm really exctied about! Yay! Hope fully I will have a full voice tomorrow. I guess even if I do I won't by the end of the day! Lots of talking, laughing and inspiration to be had!! Can't wait...

May seems to be Rubon Month so in addition to my Spotlight on Smooch I will also feature projects with rubons as well, just to show how versatile they are and what can be done with them. Here's a few cards I have used rubons (and some bling) on...

I have also used rubons on several Scrapbook Layouts,Workshop Projects and a Surprise Box as well. They look great on our Clear Albums too....
